Grand Masti has been slammed by most film critics of the tinsel town for its incorrigible content, but there are some films which are mass-oriented ventures altogether. The film that recorded the 4th Highest Opening of the year, went on to make 13.50 crores, as per early estimates, on its 1st Saturday at the Domestic Box Office. The film’s total income so far has snowballed to 26 crores at the domestic box office.
Earning such an overwhelming amount in its first 2 days itself, speaks volumes about how well the film will fare in the long run. The film saw a growth in its income on 2nd day due to the growth in screen count which accounts for the 15% hike in the earnings of the film.
Performing well in both single screens and multiplexes, the film is expected to pick up today at the box office. The film is currently running housefull at most screens and many shows of the week’s other release John Day were cancelled to accommodate larger number of shows for Grand Masti!
