The Vidya Balan-Emraan Hashmi starrer Ghanchakkar has been panned by most critics and this negative word of mouth hindered the film’s growth. Earning 7.20 crores on its opening day, the film’s performance was ordinary.

Going by the popularity of both its lead actors, the film’s first day collections were ordinary! Being a kind of film that will not impress single screen audiences, the problem lies in the fact that even multiplex audiences will not be too impressed with it either.

Ghanchakkar’s opening weekend will be important to note whether the film manages to rise up or not!
