Bajrangi Bhaijaan opened with a very good number of 27.25 crores and made 185 crores approx in the first week itself. The film ended its lifetime at 320.34 crores in India. Now, you may be wondering that despite so many big box office achievements under the belt, how it’s even possible that Hate Story 3 (53.50 crores) could defeat Salman’s monstrous hit? Karan Singh Grover, Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan and Daisy Shah starrer Hate Story 3 was made on a budget of 13.20 crores. It did a business of 53.50 crores, thus making an ROI (Return On Investment) of 40.30 crores. It summed up a profit of 305%. The film surpassed Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s 256% profit in the list. Surprisingly, the erotic thriller was the second most profitable film of 2015.

The list is topped by Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns with 390% returns. The 2nd and 3rd spots are held by Hate Story 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is also the part of the list. It holds the 8th position with 107% returns.
