The fact that this is Rajnikant and Shankar’s second film together after Sivaji – The Boss is a testimony to the star power they hold. It is therefore, predicted that the film will gross at least Rs. 1200 million – Rs. 1300  million more from ticket sales. One major factor behind the film’s success is the crazy fan-following that Rajnikant attracts in Tamil Nadu and his fans all over the world. Besides, as had reported and predicted earlier, ticket rates for the movie were as much as Rs. 1,500 in some cases!

‘Endhiran – Robot’ tickets at Rs. 2000!

Not surprisingly, this makes ‘Robot’ the highest opening weekend grosser, over Dabangg and even 3 Idiots.

  1. We can be rest assured for the fact no artist can command the respect and glamour from the mass market to make them buy tickets for Rs. 1500/- world wide. It is the Rajini magic at work and the masses treat it as a festival. not o nly adults but also kids . Pl. accept the fact. Rajini is a global icon in real terms on whom India should be proud about. Our PM mentioned about him in Japanese Parliament meeting. accept the fact that this movie is form the Sun empire where only success rises and sets. take it easy guys.

    • Rahul, using foul language is not the way to go… You have to understand that box office collections are facts and not figments of somebody’s imagination…

Hence, please refrain from buls******* like this. Different trade analysts have different sources (so there is a difference in numbers) and India is a country.

The ayodhya verdict has proved this. What is your problem is a South indian film works wonders in the whole nation. Robot has proved that Indians, as a whole can make kicka** cinema. And no amount of shouting and yelling will prove otherwise.

It is better to be respectable and accept the glory of Rajnikant and Shankar’s masterstroke with humility.
