Dune 2, the epic science fiction film, has surpassed every expectation at the worldwide box office. Starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in the leading roles, the Denis Villeneuve directorial was released on March 1, 2024. And in less than 15 days, it has already reached the breakeven status. Dune: Part Two is the sequel to the 2021 film that received massive praise at the box office. Fans were excited to witness Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) unite with the Fremen people of Arrakis to wage war against House Harkonnen. And the team lived upto the expectations. Dune 2 Box Office Collection
As per the latest update, Dune 2 has added a box office collection of $380 million worldwide. According to Comscore, the sci-fi has been adding earth-shattering numbers to the kitty for two back-to-back weekends in Ireland and the UK. The overall earnings from the territory currently stands at £19.4 million ($24.8 million).
Made on a budget of $190 million, Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya‘s film has made double the collections of its cost. And with that, it achieves the breakeven status at the box office.
Dune: Part Two US Box Office
Previously, the film had surpassed Dune’s lifetime earnings in merely a week. The original film collected around $108.9 million in its lifetime run at the US Box Office. Part Two has surpassed that milestone with a significant margin as it currently stands at $167.3 million, which is about 53.6% higher!
