Now that one of Bollywood’s most majestic franchises is looking to release its latest edition Dhoom 3 this Friday, Koimoi compiles for you a day wise prediction of how much the film can estimated-ly earn per day.
The film that is releasing in approx 4000 screens in the domestic market and over 700 screens in the overseas, has shown a great occupancy in the pre-booking period with many theaters already recording fully booked shows. On its opening day the film should earn in the range of 29 crores. Being a normal Friday release, the film cannot realize its fullest potential on its first day itself. On Saturday, the film will see an obviously growth in its income with moolah ranging near 31 crores. On Sunday, the film might soar a little more and end up with a collections of 34 crores.
After its first weekend, a lot of the film’s performance will bank on the word of the mouth. Given a normal word of the mouth with limited negative out pour, a 50% drop can be expected from the film on its 1st Monday. The income range should easily be around 15 crores. Hence, there is a solid chance that Dhoom 3 will cross over into the 100 crore club within 4 days of its release.
Dhoom 3 can easily remain consistent on its weekdays. Luckily for the film’s strategic release, the film enjoys Christmas holiday amongst its weekdays. Though on Tuesday, the film might witness a minimal drop, with collections coming around 13-14 crores, on Wednesday it will again see a growth with an earn of at least 25 crores in its collections. If all goes great, by Christmas the film easily will earn over 150 crores in 6 days only.
From Thursday on wards the film can expect to down slide with an earning in the range of 13 crores and on Friday the film will remain around the same mark. By its second weekend, the film might see a definite growth by remaining in the range of 15 crore to 18 crores at the box office. There is also a great chance that it might make 200 crores within its second week at the box office itself. However, if the audience’s opinion of the film doesn’t contend with the franchise’s promising work in the past – the film might not see the expected figures.
Eventually with films like these, it runs down on the content. A great content with fantastic execution will be enough to make Dhoom 3 work with the audiences however it is only this Friday that will seal the fate of the film at the box office!
