What’s Next For Dhanush?
The actor is now looking forward to Om: Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood. The film has been directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. It also stars Mammootty in a pivotal role, marking his return to Tamil cinema, while Sreeleela plays the female lead. The title hints at a multi-chapter franchise in the making. The film will release in theatres worldwide on October 16, 2026.
Sai Abhyankkar has composed the music after recently scoring RJ Balaji’s Karuppu, while Ezhil Arasu handles the cinematography, Kalaivanan R handles the editing, and Kavya Sriram handles the costumes. Wunderbar Films is producing the film in association with R Take Studios.
However, the film will face major box office competition from Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth. It will mark the first box office clash between Rajinikanth and his former son-in-law Dhanush. Jailer 2 already enjoys massive anticipation because of the success of its predecessor. Dhanush, on the other hand, will have to impress the audience and draw them to theatres with positive word of mouth.
