The 7th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, Furious 7 has broken a world record at the Box Office in India. Raking in approximately 12 crores (early estimates), the film has made it to the Top Opener for a Hollywood film in India. The previous record holder was the second installment of The Amazing Spider-Man, which released last year, collecting 7.50 crores in India.
Furious 7 witnessed an excellent occupancy report in the morning and afternoon shows, which it maintained throughout the day, or rather even picked up in urban centres. The film’s India release involved regional releases as well, in Tamil and Telugu, apart from Hindi and English, as well as 3D, 2D, IMAX 3D and 4DX.
