Citylights had a low third weekend at the Box Office. The film collected 10 lacs on its third weekend taking its domestic total to 8.04 crores. The film starring Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha in lead roles was critically acclaimed although it could not prove to be a big audience puller.
The film was received well in multiplexes in the urban centres, however, not being a complete mass entertainer, the film couldn’t shine at the single screens and urban centres.

Nevertheless, we have to admit the fact that the film did maintain a decent pace in its first and second week after a poor start. With the film’s music and satellite rights already sold at 7 crores, Citylights has been a profitable venture for the makers.
