Bramayugam Box Office Collections Day 4: Faces A Tough Competition From Premalu Over The Weekend

Mammootty’s Bramayugam is performing well at the box office. The movie did good business on its first 4 days at the box office. Read on!
Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Bramayugam was released on February 15. The film also stars Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan in pivotal roles. After a good start with 3.10 crore, Bramayugam’s box office collections witnessed a slight dip on Day 2 (Friday). The movie saw a 20% degrowth in its collections and earned 2.45 crore. However, the footfalls over the weekend showed an upward trend.
Bramayugam collected 3.35 crore on Day 3 (Saturday) and 3.90 crore on Day 4 (Sunday), per the trade portal Sacknilk. The film’s net India total now stands at 12.80 crore.
The film’s overseas collections seem even more impressive. It collected 11.45 crore gross from the international arena. Adding its India gross collections to 15.1 crore, Bramayugam’s worldwide earnings now stand at 26.55 crore.
Bramayugam vs Premalu’s box office collections
If we were to analyze the box office performance of Bramayugam and Premalu, it’s safe to say that Bramayugam faced tough competition from the latter. Even though Premalu was released a week prior to Bramayugam, the Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju-starring movie managed to do exceptionally well on its second weekend. It’s possible that the romantic genre of Premalu worked wonders for the movie, especially as it was released during Valentine’s Day week – a time when love is in the air. On the other hand, Bramayugam is a horror thriller, which might not have been everyone’s choice.
Premalu collected a total of 15.85 crore in its first week. However, the movie witnessed an upward trend in its collections over the second weekend, with 2 crore on Day 8, 3.50 crore on Day 9, and 4.25 crore on Day 10. The total collection of the film in the first ten days stands at approximately 25.50 crore. Despite starting with just Rs. 1.10 crore on the first day, the movie has already grossed a huge amount. Moreover, it is expected to earn more in the future. The movie has also earned a total of USD 2.30 million (Rs. 19 crore) overseas, making its worldwide gross around Rs. 44.75 crore approximately.
