Box Office Predictions – Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety & Welcome To New York

After a few dramatic (Padmaavat, PadMan) and thrilling (Aiyaary) affairs, it is time for some fun, laughter and gags this Friday, what with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Welcome To New York gearing up to hit the screens. Both films are catering to family audiences and primarily youngsters. They have different stories to tell as well as Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is about the battle between bromance and romance while Welcome To New York is a comedy of errors with the backdrop of IIFA event.

These should be good offerings for the audience since they are pretty much waiting to lap up a comedy for a while now. The last film belonging to this genre was Fukrey Returns and that was over a couple of months ago. The film was a very good success and industry would be hoping that these two new releases keep the momentum going when it comes to the comic genre.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has relative newcomers in its star cast but the buzz is quite good already due to a terrific promo and popular songs. There is widespread curiosity amongst the audience to check out this entertainer and that promises a start in the range of 6-7 crore.
