Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon has opened on a fantastic note at the Box Office. While expectations were that the opening would be in 30%-40% range (which would have been decent too), what unfolded right from the first show on Friday was stupendous indeed. While average occupancy was in 40%-50% range, there were places where certain shows even went houseful. While the Abbas-Mustan film was basically targeting the single screens, even multiplex occupancy was quite good, which was a pleasant surprise indeed.

As a result, the film’s first day collections are 10.15 crore mark, which is extraordinary by all standards. Yes, Eid holiday on Friday at many places did help the cause but still, even after taking that into account, the collections are very good. Now this pretty much reflects the kind of fan following that Kapil Sharma has because frankly, the promo hadn’t made such a huge mark to warrant a superb opening like this. Even the songs hadn’t picked up huge while the overall promotion too was decent to good, not terrific.
Still, for audience to flock to theaters and bring in such footfalls is extraordinary by all means. For producer Ratan Jain, this is great news indeed after a couple of films (Gang of Ghosts, Tezz) that hadn’t worked. Moreover, for the opening day to stand amongst the best of 2015 is no mean feat.
