Box Office: Housefull 3 Has A Good 1st Tuesday; Aims For 80 Crore In Week One

Housefull 3 is now set well at the box office with a good first Tuesday collection. The film brought in 7.07 crore more and as a result, the collections now stand around the 68.63 crore mark. This has now ensured that the first week collections would touch the 80 crore mark and post that, it would be time to consolidate for the Sajid-Farhad directed affair.

Last year, Welcome Back had collected 74.02 crore in its first week and that number would be crossed by Housefull 3 in 6 days itself. Incidentally, both films were Eros productions. While Welcome Back had ended its run just under the 100 crore mark (at 97 crore), Housefull 3 already has a good lead ahead.

Furthermore, while the word of mouth is from decent to good, the fact that there is no major commercial release for weeks in succession means that the Sajid Nadiadwala production has a field wide open to earn huge.

While it is a given that the Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan starrer would go past the 100 crore mark, it boils down to how much further would it go from that point on. The film is a success and the quantum of that would be clearer once the film completes its second weekend at the Box Office.
