Bombay Velvet has created a record of amassing biggest losses of all times. With a poor opening, practically no word of mouth and zero patronage during the weekdays, it was a nosedive for the Anurag Kashyap directed film. With the filmmaker pretty much admitting the film’s failure before the end of weekend itself, the writing was clear on the wall. The film’s fate can be gauged by the fact that its first week total of 22.27 crore is just few lakhs more than the Day One collections of Ranbir Kapoor’s Besharam, which too was a flop. In fact it is even lesser than the first two days collections of Roy.
