Besharam despite acquiring for itself a 5 day weekend failed to spark off a good response in the overseas market. After YJHD that has been superlative in the overseas, surely a better feat was expected from this one. However, being a grotesquely loud film that it was, it managed to evoke little from the key markets in the international circuits! By the draw of its opening weekend, the film has earned nearly 14.30 crores in the overseas market!
In U.K and Ireland, the film made 2.46 crores, in 5 days which is abysmally meager given that it released in over 90 screens there.
In U.S.A and Canada, the film made 3.11 crores in 5 days with a release in 217 screens.
In the G.C.C Circuit and U.A.E, the film performed marginally better and accumulated its earnings in the range of 4.22 crores. The weekend in the G.C.C circuit begins on Thursday and that worked in favor of the film that released on Wednesday in the domestic market.
In Australia and New Zealand, the film released in 28 screens and over 5 days it summed up a total collections of 71.14 lacs.
The film also saw a release in Fiji where in 2 screens, the film managed to gather an income of 6.25 lacs so far.
After great performances from Ranbir Kapoor’s previous films like Barfi! and Rockstar, besides YJHD, Besharam is a striking low for the actor in terms of monetary gains for his venture!
