John Abraham can rejoice. His Batla House is set to be a good runner at the box office, what with Sunday collections turning out to be 12.70 crores. The film has seen appreciation coming from the target audience and while multiplex collections have been fine, at single screens there are very good footfalls, especially at the mass centres.

It is actually to good credit of John Abraham’s stardom that Batla House is being seen as an action film, even though there is hardly any real action being there other than an encounter and a couple of chase sequences. One doesn’t see the kind of action that is associated with John Abraham, like the kind seen in the Force series or Satyameva Jayate. Still, even with limited such moments, single screen audiences are reasonably content. Moreover, Nikkhil Advani has a compelling story to tell and his treatment has worked well at the multiplexes.
