Prabhudheva’s Action Jackson, starring Ajay Devgn, released yesterday. The film made a business of 9.25 crores on Day 1 i.e. 1st Friday at the Box Office in India. The movie opened to a below average occupancy in the morning shows. However, a slight pick up in the afternoon and evening shows helped the film to collect some moolah at the Domestic Box Office.
Post the Diwali release, i.e the magnum opus Happy New Year starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, none of the new releases managed to do good business at the box office. Rather November turned out to be one of the disaster ever for Bollywood in last few years.

Hence, all eyes were set on the first release of December, Action Jackson, to bring in some revival of sorts for the industry. However, the film received poor ratings from the critics and the word of mouth floated negatively. Nevertheless, the film still has chances to pick up and show a growth in the weekend.
