2 States was easily one of the most awaited films after its trailers had created quite a required hype, thanks to the excellent chemistry between its lead pair, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film is doing good so far, in fact is maintaining a steady growth at the Domestic Box Office.
On its 1st Tuesday, 2 States collected a decent figure of 5.50 crores, taking its domestic total to 49.50 crores at the domestic box office, which is brilliant. This romantic drama opened with great numbers and after having a smashing weekend is continuing its positive streak over the week.
The film being urban centric was received with tremendous response in the multiplexes of metros like Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Delhi. Also with the recent success of the lead pair’s previous films such as Highway and Gunday, the film’s star quotient too helped it to perform well.
Going by the performance so far, 2 States will surely be crossing the 75 crores by the end of its 2nd Weekend. The first week business for this Abhishek Verman film looks bright and a top slot in the 2014 Grossers list can be expected.
