2 States already had an excellent stint at the domestic box office as it made it to the coveted 100 crore club. The film had created enough stir, moreover, as Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name had a global appeal, owing to a good business overseas too. With the immense success of the film, its lead Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor have tasted quick success.
The film has performed excellent overseas and has made it the highest grosser of 2014 overseas, beating the likes of Jai Ho and Gunday.
