Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani starrer Yodha’s trailer has been recently released, and it looks pretty intriguing. The film is packed with some heart-thumping action. Malhotra won hearts as a soldier in Shershaah and will surely do it again with this upcoming movie. Meanwhile, his co-star Raashii shared a fascinating detail about her real life that is beautifully connected to her role in this movie.
Raashii has worked predominantly in South Indian films. She caught people’s eyes as Megha Vyas in last year’s web series Farzi opposite Shahid Kapoor. It also featured Vijay Sethupathi. Recently, at the trailer launch of Yodha, Raashii Khanna revealed how she had always wanted to be an IAS officer; however, destiny had other plans for her. She is one of the most talented actors in the Indian film industry and is also somewhat underrated. Films and television let the actors lead multiple lives on screen, and this time, it has fulfilled Raashii’s dream.
The Yodha star, speaking during the film’s trailer launch, said, “I have always wanted to be an IAS officer, and I think destiny brought me into cinema. I was very lucky to play this role because I saw that side! I play the role of a government official who is responsible for negotiations.”
Raashii Khanna continued, “There was always this intensity on set; while reading the script, they said that you’re the “lady YODHA” on the ground who’s negotiating, and I realized the importance of communication and how important it is in such situations. So there is a lot I take away from this film.”
For the unversed, Yodha is Raashii’s second Hindi film after 2013’s political spy drama Madras Cafe featuring John Abraham. Although the Farzi actress played a supporting role in the 2013 movie, it did not go unnoticed. Khanna was lauded for her performance, and it was high time her fans saw more of her in Bollywood.
