‘Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum’ has released and while the jokes have led to good all around laughter, there is yet another franchise that Tusshar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh have gained for themselves. With ‘Golmaal’ series behind him, Tusshar is anyways finding himself in favor when it comes to comic flicks. On the other hand Ritesh has ‘Housefull’ and ‘Dhamaal‘ series consolidating his place as a comic actor par excellence. Now with the duo coming together, there was bound to be competition, something that they don’t deny.

You and Riteish being on the same page must have helped as well; after all there is some good on-screen tuning on display. Seems like both of you are pretty much at home in each other’s company.
Yes, and after you have working in a film before, the tuning does show. Having said that, there was competition between us and it is bound to be that way because both of us wanted to go and give our best. However there never was an unhealthy or uncomfortable vibe. We didn’t steal each other’s lines or were being selfish. There are independent tracks for us and we stuck to that in the film. We gave each other good space and it worked out quite neatly for us. There is a balanced equation between is and that also reflects in our chemistry on screen.
Since both of you have such fantastic comic timing and are bound to bring on laughs, wasn’t it tough not to crack up at each other’s jokes even though you were required to keep a straight face?
Honestly it doesn’t really bother me unless there are like 300-400 people around you. Otherwise generally when there are just the unit members around, I am confident enough not to be distracted by people or situations. Occasionally naughtiness in a particular scene might make me a tad amused but no, there isn’t any nervousness. Technically though at times someone may come in your line of eye and distract you but then that’s a different tale and has nothing to do with whether you are enacting a comic or a serious scene; that can happen with anybody.
However it could get a little awkward with pretty girls like Sarah-Jane Dias and Neha Sharma around, especially with naughty jokes. So did you have to explain to them certain things. After all, unke dimaag mein itni gandagi nahi hogi!
Not actually (laughs). May be with Neha we had to elaborate a dialogue or two but Sarah was well versed with all the jokes from the very first reading.
