Celebrity endorsements are a big deal and well, just when Hrithik Roshan debuted in B-town, he was the brand ambassador for Coca Cola. During his debut release, the soft drink commercial had run a contest according to which, the winner would be rewarded with a date with the Hrithik Roshan.
Shikha Monga who was 19, when she won the contest has been waiting for 12 years for a date which never happened. After being offered 5 lakhs instead, the winner declined and insisted on meeting Hrithik. Shikha has now moved to Chandigarh district court hoping to get justice.
The court has put Coca-Cola on notice as Monga seeks Rs 2.5 crore in damage. It also exempted her from paying Rs 2.43 lakh as court fee for the suit since she is is not possessed of sufficient means to pay the court fee. Claiming the damages, Monga stated that it has affected her reputation and and that she was labeled a liar.
