Unique promotional strategy of ‘Joker‘ is giving it just the right kind of eyeballs it was looking for. While Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha are all set to get started with the campaign for the film, it is aliens who are being introduced to the audience for now.
“There is a reason why you are seeing and hearing so much about aliens. Since they are the USP of the film, it was felt that characters dressed up as aliens should be stepping in for door to door marketing. You would now see them all over, whether at celebrities’ house/office, bus stands, hoardings et al”, informs a source attached to the film.
It was felt that instead of concentrating just on Akshay and Sonakshi, who are anyways known faces, it would make sense to bring to fore aliens too since that would mean fetching all the more attention from children.
Still, even though the makers are indeed excited about their out of the box thinking, they are not depending entirely on their characters from the world of unknown.
Says Farah, “Of course Akshay and Sonakshi would be doing their round of promotion as well. It’s just that they are being joined by aliens. In fact at many events all of them would be making a ‘joint appearance’.”
Now that would make for some filling on of the screen space for sure.
