As we all know Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are coming together for one more film which is going to be a gangster based film! The movie is tentatively titled, Sapna Didi!

Vishal Bhardwaj and KriArj Entertainment will produce Deepika and Irrfan’s, Sapna Didi. It will be interesting to see Deepika in a new avatar. Irrfan Khan will play the role of a local gangster who will be her love interest. He will be seen helping Sapna Didi in her mission to kill Dawood Ibrahim.

Vishal Bhardwaj To Direct Deepika And Irrfan Starrer Gangsta Movie?

The film is based on one of the chapters from former investigative journalist-turned-author S Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Now, the buzz is that Vishal Bhardwaj is going to wear the director’s hat!

According to a report in Pinkvilla, “Due to different artistic visions of the film, Honey (Trehan) and I jointly came to the decision that it would be best if I took over as director and saw it through to the end.” Said in a statement.

Honey went on to add, “Owing to our differences in creative understanding, we have mutually and amicably decided that it would be best for our film if Vishal sir took over as Director.”

The report also stated that Irrfan is excited about the project and look’s forward to work with Deepika, “I will always be excited to work with Deepika. I am all the more excited this time (as to) how our chemistry (will) work. In this film, I am not (portraying) a decent or civilized man, so our equation in this film is completely (different from Piku).”

He later added, “I am very excited. The final version of the movie will be sent by Vishal sir. Our dates have been confirmed and so is the shooting dates. I’m really really looking forward to it. It’s an entertaining film. There’s also a dark area which we see in Vishal saab’s films but, it’s an exciting film.”
