The entire nation was shocked when Deepika Padukone marked her presence at JNU protest yesterday. While some were pleased and supported the actress’ big move with #ISupportDeepika, others went on to backlash the actress by blocking her on Twitter and trending #BoycottChhapaak all over. Now, here’s what Chhapaak co-star Vikrant Massey has to say about it all.

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey along with director Meghna Gulzar yesterday travelled to Delhi for the promotions of their film Chhapaak, which is based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The actress who has often remained silent on various political issues, stunned everyone as she made an appearance at the JNU University supporting victims of the violence.

Vikrant took to his Twitter and shared his views on the row as shared pictures of his co-star from the protests and wrote, “❤(heart) swells with pride. #JNUViolence @deepikapadukone”
