Kareena Kapoor Khan began 2014 on an optimistic note. Though Shuddhi‘s delays have miffed the actress, she was confident about Dev Benegal’s next with Farhan Akhtar. However, the recent chain of events has resulted in a bad conclusion for the actress as Benegal’s Bombay Samurai has been postponed indefinitely, reported a leading daily.
The film was initially scheduled to go on floors in March this year, but that isn’t in order anymore. Dev Benegal took an unusually long time to tie up the loose knots of his script which delayed the film’s shooting. Since the director was not willing to go into the process, the film was delayed.
The producer confirmed to the leading daily that the film will have to undergo 12 weeks of mandatory preparation before the filming begins on the project and since Excel Entertainment will soon begin focusing on Rahul Dholakia’s Raees with Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan, the film will definitely not be going on floors this year.
