The Rite – Plot:

Inspired by true events, The Rite follows skeptical seminary student Michael Kovak (Colin O’Donoghue), who reluctantly attends exorcism school at the Vatican. While in Rome, he meets an unorthodox priest, Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), who introduces him to the darker side of his faith.

The Rite – India box-office expectations:

The film has opened well in Hollywood; The Rite debuted at the first place with a take of US $14.8 million in its first weekend. However the film’s publicity has not yet taken off in India and, per se, the fate of the film at the Indian box-office depends on the word of mouth publicity.
