Hollywood has created a big market for itself in India and after the grand success of Avengers: Endgame, there’s no point of stopping. The Lion King is a big Hollywood brand in India. The makers just want to make it bigger in the country now and hence they have approached some popular Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan (who is making his debut with The Lion King) to be a part of it.

Just recently there was a big announcement about Shah Rukh Khan along with his son Aryan Khan coming on board to be a part of the film’s Hindi version. The father-son duo will lend their voice to two main characters of the film i.e. Mufasa and Simba.

Announcing the same, SRK tweeted, “Glad to be a part of this journey… a timeless film. Voicing it in Hindi with my own Simba. The last time we did a film was around 15 years ago and it was ‘Incredible’ and this time around its even more fun. Hope everyone enjoys it 19th July onwards. #TheLionKing:”

Now there are reports that the makers have decided to bring on board more Bollywood actors to dub for the Hindi version. According to a report by Pinkvilla, veteran actor, Ashish Vidyarthi will be dubbing for the part of Scar and Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Mishra will be heard as Timon and Pumbaa (friends of Simba). They will be seen singing Hakuna Matata in the film.

The original version will have Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Nala, James Earl Jones as Simba’s father Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi and JD McCrary as the younger Simba. The Jon Favreau directed film is a remake of 1994’s classic and is slated to release in India on July 19, 2019 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
