Sanjay Leela Bhansali spilled a huge surprise for all the movie buffs by bringing the unusual pair of Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt on board for epic love saga, Inshallah. The movie is touted to be the grandest amongst all the SLB directorials.
Upon its announcement, Inshallah met with a huge criticism due to the age difference between Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt but few reports that were doing the rounds, stated that the theme of the love story is something is suitable for their respective ages.
Now, the latest report in Pinkvilla suggests that Inshallah is inspired from Salman’s older movie. Speaking about the plot, the source close to the project quotes, “Inshallah will bring back the Bhansali we had seen in films like Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It’s a romantic saga that won’t have lavish sets but will be shot at real locations.” Another informer from the production tells us, “It’s this story of a 40-plus businessman played by Salman Khan who’s carefree and not as serious about his life as men his age would be. His father tells him that he will give him all his wealth only on one condition – he has to fall in love and change his lifestyle”.
“Alia plays an aspiring actress who Salman gets to fool his father. They fake a relationship but in the course of doing so, how they actually fall in love with each other and how their world collides is what Inshallah is all about,” the source adds.
It is also learnt that the plot is inspired from Salman Khan’s 1999 movie, Jaanam Samjha Karo, which featured Urmila Matondkar opposite the star.
