The Kerala Story, starring Adah Sharma in the lead role, surprised everyone with its box office outcome. It was a huge blockbuster and made earnings that no one would have imagined in their wildest dreams. However, it did face controversies during and after its release. Now, yet again, the film found itself surrounded by controversies, and it was related to its premiere on the national channel. Keep reading to know more!

Directed by Sudipto Sen, the film touched on the subject of forceful religious conversions. Before its release, TKS was promoted as a film based on the real story, and it was claimed that such incidents happened in Kerala. However, many claimed it to be false and described the Adah Sharma starrer as political propaganda. Interestingly, such controversies helped TKS in attracting major footfalls.

Now, almost a year after its release, The Kerala Story is back in the headlines, and this time, it has to do with the premiere on Doordarshan. The film was scheduled to be aired on the channel on 5th April. Against the telecast, the chief minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, objected by calling out Doordarshan.
