Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. The actor died by suicide sending shockwaves amongst all his fans and close ones. Police are undergoing investigation to ensure there was no foul play. So far, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rhea Chakraborty amongst others have been questioned. Amidst it all, a new film inspired by the actor has been announced.
All his fans are till now awaiting the real reason behind his big step. Many even claim that the actor was murdered. Producer Vijay Shekhar Gupta is now making a film on the subject. It has been titled, “Suicide Or Murder: A Star Was Lost.”
Remember Sushant Singh Rajput’s look-alike who was recently storming the internet? Yes, the TikTok star Sachin Tiwari. He has been roped in by Vijay to play the lead in the film. To clarify, the film isn’t a biopic but loosely based on Sushant’s death.

Suicide Or Murder: A Star Was Lost will go on-floors in mid-September. It will be primarily shot in Mumbai & Punjab. But the most surprising part is that the makers are eyeing on a Christmas release this year itself.
The makers even revealed Sachin Tiwari’s first look as ‘The Outsider.’ Talking about it all in a conversation with The Indian Express, Vijay Shekhar Gupta shared, “Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide came as a shock to all of us, but it is not new. Many actors who come to the industry to accomplish their dreams of making it big here, end up not getting work. Many take this route, and some keep struggling all their lives. So, we wanted to tell a story of how actors from small towns, who don’t have godfathers in Bollywood, struggle. We will be revealing other characters one by one. I can assure you that this film will definitely unmask the real face of the insiders of Bollywood.”
Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost will be directed by Shamik Maulik. The film will be produced by Vijay’s banner, VSG Binge. Singer-music director Shraddha Pandit will be composing the music.
