After the exit of popular show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ from its channel, the Gutthi and Dadi (characters of the show), which have become household names, have now landed in the legal trouble reportedly.
According to a latest report, Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover have received a legal notice from the channel. A show called ‘Da-Bang’ starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez will be held in Surat on 19th February, and it will also feature Ali and Sunil Grover.
The notice from the channel states that Ali and Sunil cannot don their on-screen avatars of Dadi and Gutthi on the show – like grey hair and the jooda (a bun) or wearing red ribbons, which were sported by the actors while playing the characters on CNWK.
If they do so, they’ll land in the legal trouble of copyright infringement as the character of the show, ultimately belongs to the channel.
