Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi was slated to release in March this year but due to pandemic, the film got postponed. It was expected that the film may hit cinemas 4-5 months later but that didn’t happen and the next expected release date became Diwali 2020.
Now that Diwali is not far, all eyes are on government to lift off restrictions from cinemas. It’s also because the theatres have started opening in all other major countries. Tenet released in 41 international markets recently and got an amazing response. The USA, Russia and China are in the queue. Indian exhibitors obviously can’t wait any longer.
In the recently announced Unlock 4, the Indian government announced starting services like Metro and all eyes are on theatres’ re-opening now.
