Satte Pe Satta Remake: Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan & These Actresses Were In The Race Too But Couldn’t Get Through!

It was learnt a long time ago that Amitabh Bachchan’s cult classic Satte Pe Satta is getting a remake but it became talk of the town all of a sudden when Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty’s name got associated with it. It garnered more buzz as Shah Rukh Khan was said to play a lead role but apparently, it landed in Hrithik Roshan’s kitty.

Now, the remake is in the talks given a hunt for a leading lady reprising the role of Hema Malini from the original. The names of Kriti Sanon and Katrina Kaif were the part of the discussion before but it is now said that Deepika Padukone might end up playing a role opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Interestingly, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, not just the above mentioned actresses but also other leading ladies of Bollywood including- Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Sara Ali Khan, were on the list of the makers.

Many young and mature actresses have sent feelers to Farah that they are interested in the movie. Once Hrithik gives the nod to the project, it will be the hottest announcement this year and which actress won’t want to be a part of it? But the makers are sure that they are not making De De Pyaar De where Ajay Devgn was older than his girlfriend. They need somebody closer to Hrithik’s age. Which also rules out Rohit Shetty’s Simmba heroine, Sara Ali Khan. Also, the lead actress in Satte Pe Satta needs to be mature and have the personality to play Hema Malini’s role. Indu was as important as Ravi Anand (Amitabh Bachchan) as she trains her six brothers-in-law from hooligans to more stylish men. The remake needs an actress-performer who can match Hrithik’s fine histrionics,” reports Bollywood Hungama.
