Salman Khan’s NGO Being Human Faces Blacklisting By BMC

Apart from his films, Salman Khan is quite close to his NGO Being Human foundation. He had started this venture back in 2007.

Through his foundation, Salman Khan has helped a lot of underprivileged in India and has provided them with education and healthcare services.

But now, Salman’s Being Human foundation is facing backlisting by the BMC for not setting up concessional dialysis units in Bandra over a year after being allotted the project. BMC has issued a showcase notice to the foundation and has also forfeited the NGO’s deposit. It has also floated fresh tenders to find a replacement.

In December 2016, the BMC had decided to start 12 dialysis centres which could perform up to 10,000 procedures each month. The civic body chose Being Human foundation as one of the dialysis centres in Bandra. The foundation was supposed to set up 24 dialysis machines. But Being Human failed to do so and because of which a show cause notice was issued to them.
