Sad news flows in for the Kapoors. Boney Kapoor had mortgaged his properties while obtaining a loan from Sahara Motion Pictures, and now Subrata Roy, is left with no other choice but to take over them.
It was in January 2013, that Sandeep Bhargava had taken over Boney Kapoor’s position in Sahara Motion Pictures as the CEO. And it is highly construed that the Kapoors presently are in the middle of an economic turmoil.
Boney had taken a loan from Sahara, while making No Entry, but gradually over the years, the sum has amounted to Rs. 85 crores. The loan was issued against his property. Now Sahara being under financial pressure needs to pay back their SEBI loan. As Boney Kapoor has not been able to clear off the loan taken, Sahara is left with no other option but to mortgage Boney Kapoor’s property against their loan to the government.
This was decided by Sahara Chief, Subrata Roy, who is close to the Kapoor family. The news was broken to the Kapoors by Mr. Roy personally.
