There is a strong buzz doing the rounds that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning to rope in actress Priyanka Chopra to play the 29-year-old boxer Mary Kom in his next venture.
The biopic will be based on the life of the boxing champion and the makers are in hunt of the girl, be it an established star or a new face, to essay Mary Kom’s role.
According to a report by a leading daily, PC is going through the script right now. However, nothing is finalized yet. In fact, trade sources say that Katrina Kaif’s name is also in the list.
Omung Kumar, a well known art director of Black and Saawariya fame, will be making his debut as a director of this biopic.
The movie is likely to go on floors in March-April next year.
