Mika Singh is paying a heavy toll for performing in Pakistan’s Former PM Pervez Musharraf’s relative’s wedding and it is even hampering his association with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for their upcoming scheduled concert. Though after getting banned by Federation Of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), the singer issued an apology for hurting sentiments amid the tensions with neighbouring country, seems like the issue is not going to settle down anytime soon.
As per a report in the Deccan Chronicle, Salman Khan’s concert tour in US will not feature Mika Singh owing to the controversy, who was supposed to be part of it earlier. The tour was slated to start from 25th August, which is got postponed. This could be a huge blow for Mika as he has backed some of the biggest hits of Khan’s like Jumme Ki Raat and Aaj Ki Raat.
The source close to the actor states, “Nowadays you can’t be a star/celebrity in India without being ‘politically correct’! Mika may have apologised for performing in Pakistan, but he remains tainted — as he went ahead and performed in Pakistan, ignoring the country’s sentiment,” reports Deccan Chronicle.
