Not Deepika Padukone But Sonam Kapoor Was The FIRST Choice For Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela was undoubtedly one film that left a strong imprint on the minds of audience’s and critics alike. But the highlight of the film was the sizzling chemistry that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone shared with each other. But in a rather interesting turn of events, Sonam Kapoor’s recent throwback post has got a lot of eyebrows raised.

Taking to her Instagram account, Sonam shared a post that had an uncanny resemblance to Deepika Padukone’s look in the ‘Ang Laga De’ song from Ram-Leela. But what set tongues wagging was the caption that Sonam gave to the image. The caption read, “a look test I did for a film #flashbackfriday.”

Well we wonder if Sonam had indeed tested for the film and what went wrong that it was DP who eventually bagged the role. Let’s not forget that it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who gave Sonam her Bollywood debut with Saawariya alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
