National Film Awards 2018: Zee Studios received dual honours at the 65th National Awards for its 2017 release Mom starring the late superstar Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshay Khanna among others.
The critically-acclaimed crime thriller bagged National awards in two categories—Best Actress (Sridevi) and Best Background Score (AR Rahman) at the prestigious 65th National Awards held yesterday.
Zee Studios’ Mom struck a chord with the nation as it was the late actress Sridevi’s 300th film. The triple century proved to be a special memory for the Kapoor clan as Sridevi was honoured with Best Actress award posthumously by the National Award jury. Not only did Sridevi’s stellar performance leave a lasting impact on the audiences, the film is also much loved for its music with AR Rahman taking home the Best Background Score award.
