Akshay Kumar’s Independence Day release Mission Mangal found itself surrounded by the cloud of controversies, soon after the news stating its Marathi dubbed version arriving in theatres, floored in. In consideration to it, Maharashtra based regional political party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has strongly opposed the dubbed version’s release in the state.
Earlier, the president of the MNS Film Wing, Amey Khopkar warned the makers and theatre owners regarding the release of dubbed version. Justifying the stand, he said, “There is only one screen allocated for Marathi film in theatres and it’s only of Marathi film. If they are releasing ‘Mission Mangal’ in Marathi, then we will not allow the screening of the film in Maharashtra. I request government look unto this, if not then we will be taking steps to prevent it.”

No one even bothered to check with the producers of the film or else they would have known that the film is not being dubbed in Marathi,” reports Hindustan Times.
