It’s been hours that the news of Irrfan Khan’s demise came in. But no one can still wrap their head around the fact that the legend is no longer amidst us. Offering condolences and love are superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Emraan Hashmi now. The actor in a tweet bid adieu to his friend in an emotional note. South superstar, and Irrfan’s Karwaan co-star Dulquer Salmaan has a message for him too.

Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and shared a candid picture with Irrfan Khan. Shah Rukh wrote, “My friend…inspiration & the greatest actor of our times. Allah bless your soul Irrfan bhai…will miss you as much as cherish the fact that you were part of our lives. “पैमाना कहे है कोई, मैखाना कहे है दुनिया तेरी आँखों को भी, क्या क्या ना कहे है” Love u”

Salman Khan too wrote, “Big loss to the film industry, his fans, all of us n specially his family. My heart goes out to his family. May God give them strength.  Rest in peace brother u shall always be missed n be in all our hearts..”

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a picture from the sets of Angrezi Medium with Irrfan, Dimple Kapadia, Deepak Dobriyal and her in it. She wrote, “ It was an absolute honour sur, Rest in peace.”

We also saw Dulquer Salmaan writing a long note to his Karwaan co-star. Karwaan was Dulquer’s entry in the Hindi film industry and he was one of those luck people who got to work with Irrfan in the first film here. Dulquer wrote, “”You were this humongous talent, a living legend, an international movie star. And yet, you treated all of us on Karwaan and everyone you met, as equals. By some ease of your nature, you made us all feel like family. You were kind, witty, charming, curious, inspired, compassionate and always fun. I observed you the entire time like a student and a fan. Thanks to you, all through shoot I had a constant smile plastered on my face. I laughed endlessly, struggled to keep a straight face, and so often stared at you in absolute awe. In return you always had that grin. That amused grin at the world. Almost like it surprised you at all times. It’s how I’ll always remember you.”

Emraan Hashmi also shared his respect as he recalled that it was Irrfan Khan whose first shot Emraan had witnessed as an AD. He wrote, “The first shot that I witnessed as an asst. director was of Irfan khan . Calm , poised and so naturalistic , unlike anything i had seen before.A casual intensity that no other actor could pull off. Thank you Irfan for inspiring us. You will live on in our hearts forever.”
