International Women’s Day 2018: When Kangana Ranaut’s Queen released 4 years ago on 7th March, I was not sure about watching it in theater as 300: Rise Of An Empire released on the same day. But as a movie buff, I watched both on the same day and Queen still holds the record of my ‘most watched film in a theater’ of 6 times.
Yes, I watched this gem 6 times in theaters. From pulling out every person I really care with me to watch this film to this being the last film with my ex-girlfriend, Queen has really been a special film for me. The story revolving around how a woman finds her inner self after spending some alone-time on her anyone without her husband, Queen is the perfect movie to release around the period of Women’s Day.
Kangana Ranaut delivered her career’s best performance till date and Rani from Queen surely went on to become an icon for women who really are stuck with similar issues. The movie runs on two parallel tracks, one shows how she was controlled in India and the other shows how she lives in her fantasy world enjoying the freedom she thought never existed.

A lot has been talked about the movie, many opinions have been shared but I just wanted to point out how the movie Queen celebrates its birthday around International Women’s Day. Happy Women’s Day to all the queens out there!
