Exclusive! Maidaan Actress Priyamani Reveals Shah Rukh Khan’s Schedule Juggling Between Pathaan, Jawan & Dunki At One Time, “That Love, Irrespective Of Multiple Projects…”
In an exclusive interview with Koimoi, we asked Priyamani what she observed about Shah Rukh Khan as an actor, co-star and superstar.

Priyamani is ready to entertain and inspire the audience with her second Hindi film of 2024, Maidaan. The actress received rave reviews for her performance in Article 370 earlier this year, which also stars Yami Gautam. In Maidaan, she stars alongside Ajay Devgn as his on-screen wife. It’s a sports biographical drama based on the life of Syed Rahim Ahmed. Last year, the actress gave a massive blockbuster with Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover, among others.
In 2013, Priyamani collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time on a dance number for Chennai Express. The duo made everyone grove with the ‘1 2 3 4 Get on the Dance Floor’ song in Rohit Shetty’s action romantic comedy, which also stars Deepika Padukone. With Jawan, the actress reunited with SRK and performed terrific action sequences. In an exclusive interview with Koimoi, we asked the actress what she observed about Shah Rukh as an actor, co-star and superstar.

The Maidaan actress praised Shah Rukh Khan for his dedication and passion for doing multiple projects simultaneously. The Family Man star shared interesting anecdotes about working with SRK on Jawan. Priyamani told Koimoi, “Well, I’ve missed him on screen for two and a half years. After Zero, he didn’t come on screen for two and a half years, and as an ardent fan, I’ve missed him on screen. Now that he’s back with a bang, I can’t wait for his next project to come. Whatever he has signed on for and he’s going to do. As a co-star, I’ve seen his dedication, his hard work, his pure passion and love for the project, whatever he works on.”
“I remember when we were shooting Jawan also, in between, he had to travel for Pathaan. When we were shooting the hospital sequence, was when he had to travel abroad for Pathaan. For all the abroad sequences he had to shoot with Deepika, the songs and everything. At that point, we were sitting together, and he was telling us what Pathaan was all about, what they were going to shoot and the songs they were going to shoot. He didn’t tell us what songs particularly, but now we know that the movie is out,” added the actress.

Further, Priyamani revealed how he juggled between Pathaan, Jawan & Dunki at the same time with utmost dedication. The actress revealed, “Even his manager Pooja (Dadlani) was saying that they’re going for a good 25-30 days schedule there to Spain. They were really looking forward to the shoot, and they wanted to wrap up Jawan, that day’s shoot, so that they could pack and leave at night. The passion and dedication he has towards every project… He was doing the projects simultaneously. He was even working for Dunki in between. Towards the end of Jawan, they announced Dunki. The passion and love for that thing… We all were figuring it out. We said, ‘Sir what is Dunki about?’ So he sat with us and explained to us what the meaning of Dunki is, what they’re going to shoot and how they’re going to shoot.”
Priyamani concluded, “That love… irrespective of multiple projects, I think he’s very passionate and crazy about each project. He treats it as a new project whenever he works on it.”

Everyone who works with Shah Rukh always has good things to say about him. The year 2023 truly belonged to him, as all three of his films performed well at the box office.
Meanwhile, Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma, and it will release in theatres on April 10, 2024.
