While Deepika Padukone has kept the suspense on when it comes to her broken relationship with Siddharth Mallya (though in all fairness, the smarty that she is, she never admitted to an affair in the first place), in her professional life the biggest suspense all this while has been around her on-screen pairing with Shahrukh Khan five years after ‘Om Shanti Om‘. The world seems to already believe that Rohit Shetty has roped in the duo for his next film ‘Chennai Express‘ but there has been a sustained silence on Deepika’s part at least for all these months.

“Even though no one associated with the film is talking about the pairing as yet, the deal is almost sealed and dusted and it is just a matter of time before an official announcement is made”, informs our source.
However Deepika is not yet willing to bite the bait and just shrugs it all away. When prodded, she just gives her million watt smile and says, “Well, I am sure ‘Chennai Express‘ would be a great film and if it comes my way, I would be really glad to do it.”
Our source vouches for the fact though that Deepika is indeed doing the film. He says, “In any case she is super occupied with ‘Race 2‘, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani‘ and ‘Kochadiyaan‘ (the shoot of which is complete). There are some announcements coming in, not just around ‘Chennai Express’ but even other films, so stay tuned.”
