Actress Suhani Bhatnagar, who was last seen in the 2016 film Dangal, has passed away. Suhani played the role of young Babita Phogat in the movie. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zaira Wasim, Sanya Malhotra, and Apartshakti Khurana.
As reported by Zee News, Suhani Bhatnagar passed away on Saturday morning. The actress has been ill for quite some time and is undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The reports mention that Suhani’s family is completely devasted by her demise.
Suhani Bhatnagar lived in Faridabad, Sector 17. A report mentions that her cremation will take place at the Arjronda crematorium in Sector 15.
After Dangal, Suhani did not take up any acting projects as she wanted to focus on her studies. During the promotion of her 2016 film, she shared several pictures on her Instagram post. In one pic, she is posing with director Nitesh Tiwari, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Sanya played the young adult version of Babita in the film.
In another picture, Suhani posed with the team along with Aamir Khan, Zaira Wasim and Shankar Mahadevan. She had captioned the pic, “#intheplane#enjoyed#hugefan#shankarsir#dangalteam”.
