Bollywood’s Junior Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan celebrate his 37th birthday today, and spending the special day doing what he is affectionate about, the actor will be busy shooting for his upcoming flick Dhoom:3.
Abhishek is a man who needs no introduction at all. Being a child of a superstar, Abhishek was always briefly related to the industry. The actor made his debut in Bollywood with Refugee and since then have worked for various genres of film without hesitation. Being one of the most prolific figures of the industry, Abhishek has experimented with various genres of acting and has come out to be successful in most of them.

Abhishek instigated his career into the industry with romantic roles. He was seen in movies like Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Na Kaho and Main Prem Ki Dewani Hoon playing a romantic character. However the character did not work in favor for the actor and these movies failed to make a mark at the Box Office.
The actor then tried his hands in being a conman in movies like Bunty Aur Babli and Bluffmaster. The movies were a hit at the Box Office and so was Abhishek. He managed to gather lot of appreciation for his performance as a swindler. His deceiving acts lured the audiences and in turn augmented his fan following. He, along with co-star Rani Mukerji won the Star Screen Award Jodi No. 1 award for Bunty Aur Babli.
Abhishek’s macho avatar as a cop in movies like Dum Maaro Dum and the Dhoom series has lured a lot of viewers. The actor was praised for his gritty looks, his incredible style of acting and the attitude that he carried in these films.
This was the genre that suited Abhishek the most and worked wonders for him. His comic character in Bol Bachchan helped him grab the award for ‘Best Actor in a comic Role’ at the Big Star Entertainment awards, the Comic Award at the Zee Cine Awards and ”Best Actor in a Comic Role” at the 19th Annual Screen Awards.
Abhishek went for an image change by working for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan andYuva as a villain. This was the first time that the actor left his sober image at the rear and tried for a character with grey shades. He was nominated for the Best Actor in a Negative Role at the Zee Cine Awards for Raavan and won the Best Supporting Actor Award for Yuva.
