Sidharth Malhotra has done it all in the industry, right from being an Assistant Director to being one of the most sought after actors in the Industry. And now, Sidharth wants to add another feather to his cap by turning a producer.
Following the footsteps of actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma among others, Sidharth Malhotra wishes to join the producer’s brigade. Opening up about his thoughts, the Ek Villain actor has been quoted by Hindustan Times saying, “One day I may produce a film. I love the process of filmmaking. I have been an assistant director. If I feel really passionate about a film, I would want to be in a position where I can produce it. I now have the experience in different departments of filmmaking. So, yes, I would want to be in a position where I am able to produce content.”
On the professional front, Sidharth will soon be seen in the first biopic of his career. Sidharth plays the role of Kargil War hero Vikram Batra in Shershaah. The film also features Kiara Advani paired alongside Malhotra.
Opening up about his choice of films, Sidharth has said that his diverse role is his way of reinventing himself as an actor. “The audience is changing, so every Friday has to be different. Earlier, films used to work for 12 weeks. Now, it has come down to two-three weeks… You have to keep providing the viewers with new stuff.”
Sidharth was last seen in Marjaavaan alongside Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet in lead roles. The film also saw Riteish Deshmukh play a menacing dwarf, Vishnu, for the first time.
