Alia Bhatt Injured On The Sets Of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra In Bulgaria

This is a cause of alarm for the Brahmastra team as they were supposed to wrap their shoot up by the end of March.

Alia Bhatt is currently in Bulgaria shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy adventure Brahmastra. She has been busy preparing for the role, from learning horse riding to practicing for action sequences. However, the shooting came to an abrupt halt when Alia injured her shoulder.

The actress, who turned 25 recently, is currently in an arm sling and cannot shoot for the movie, except for close up scenes. While the actress doesn’t plan on flying back home, the team will avoid shooting any scenes that could aggravate the injury. This is a cause of alarm for the Brahmastra team as they were supposed to wrap their shoot up by the end of March.

The film’s spokesperson confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror, saying, “Yes, on Saturday, Alia injured her shoulder while filming an action sequence. The schedule has been tough and challenging on several levels and this accident has set us back by two days.However, our highest priority is Alia’s recovery. She has been advised minimal movement of the arm which means she cannot resume filming her action sequences in the near future to prevent any further trauma to her shoulder.”

Brahmastra is part one of a trilogy, the movie is produced by Karan Johar and also stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, opposite Alia Bhatt. It is a fantasy adventure film where Ranbir apparently plays a superhero. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy.
