Filmmaker Vipul Shah has confirmed that the sequel of Holiday which is titled Holiday 2 featuring Akshay Kumar is on the cards. The film is currently in its scripting process and will go on floors after the completion of Namaste England.
Vipul Shah said that he is already working on the script of Holiday 2, and he always had the idea from the beginning itself that Holiday has the potential to be a franchise film.
According to Vipul Shah, Akshay Kumar will be on another tour of duty in Holiday 2. As A.R. Murugadoss directed the first part, he will be approached first to direct the second installment of the film.
The film is set to go on floors in 2017.
